I recently rediscovered this music I composed for performance artist, choreographer, dancer, monologist Jeff McMahon for his piece CITY OF GOD in the early 90's. It's a peek into another time and feels very familiar and distant, piercing a layer of darkness. It was rescued from a cassette Jeff had and I remastered it for him for use in an upcoming performance. CITY OF GOD originally premiered at New York City's Dance Theater Workshop in late 1993 and I ended up going to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with his team to do sound design and mix the audio for the show with the Brian Webb Dance Company in 1994.
